Primary School
After seven years of operating as a Pre-School/Nursery, Marymount decided to build on a highly successful formula by incorporating education at the primary level and opened its doors to its first set of Primary pupils in September 2014.
We have since then continued to ensure that class sizes remain small and manageable to allow one on one attention. This has been one of the secrets of our success with our children. Our primary school pedagogy recognizes individual learning styles and tailors its broad and interdisciplinary curriculum to each pupil's learning style.
Each child has the opportunity to be himself, develop self-confidence and take on more responsibilities.
The Primary Curriculum:
At the primary level, the emphasis remains on interactive learning. The children are encouraged in developing critical thinking and reasoning skills. This is a curriculum which seeks to incorporate various learning styles into teaching.
Our primary school pedagogy recognizes individual learning styles and tailors the broad and interdisciplinary curriculum to include visual, auditory and Kinesthetic (or tactile) learning styles in order to ‘reach all’.

Creative Development
In addition to the core subjects, Marymount School aims to provide a broad educational experience including music, art, drama and dance. Thus activities which are traditionally treated as co-curricular have been woven into the programme.
Our aim is early detection of talent. An extensive range of these activities include:
Games and Sports
All pupils in the school have regular physical exercise lessons intended not only to promote physical fitness but to also foster in the children a sense of team spirit and fair play. Our Novelty Sports Day holds every two years and is usually a highlight of the year showcasing skills which have been acquired by the children.
Swimming is both a in-curricular and an extra-curricular activity. The children are in the care of certified professional coaches and their teachers, and greatly enjoy their time in the water.
Assessment
Detailed reports on the child's progress are provided daily. Assessments for learning are done at the commencement of term to develop each child’s education plan and assessment done at the end of every term to monitor learning.
We have a strong commitment to parental involvement and our plans for the school year are shared with parents through our newsletters and Parent Orientation Conferences held every term. Open days are held each term to afford parents opportunity to have formal consultation with the teachers and talk about their children's progress. Parents are also welcome to come in to discuss their child's progress at any time during the term.
